My current job is a Child Protective Investigator Supervisor with the Department of Children and Families for Lee County Florida.
What was your educational path after graduating from St. Mary School?
I attended Sacred Heart Academy all-girls Catholic High School in Hamden, CT and then was accepted to and attended Southern Connecticut State University where I obtained a BA in Mental Health Psychology and a minor in Criminology.
How do you feel SMS prepared you academically?
Three things that I learned in school have been paramount to my success after graduation: how to write well, how to work independently within time constraints, and how to work with peers towards a common goal.
Do you feel SMS provided you with a foundation for your future?
I do believe that my time at SMS helped me pave the path to my future successes because it helped me master time management skills and helped me understand the value and importance of friendships.
What are some of your favorite memories of SMS?
My most valuable school experiences weren't academic. They were all about people—social skills, respect, self-worth, empathy, and realizing your own potential.
What advice can you give to our students?
Have fun, and don’t be afraid to try new things! The world is full of opportunities and new experiences waiting to happen. Go explore!
