Mirna Ellison

Teacher

I am looking forward to teaching Kindergarten this year with my grade partner Ms. Oleyar!

I was raised in Stamford, CT, and am a graduate of Mother of God Academy All Girls High School in Stamford, CT. I attended Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree.

I have been at Saint Mary School since 2008, and over that time have been an elementary substitute teacher, kindergarten teacher assistant and elementary Spanish teacher. This past year I was able to be involved with teaching in class to remote learning in Kindergarten as a I substituted for two months for Mrs. Eisenhandler’s class.

My diversified teaching background and experience with children have prepared me to teach kindergarten. I have a full understanding of the Kindergarten curriculum, reading and math programs.

I like taking walks at the beach, I enjoy reading non- fiction books and spending time with my family. I live in Milford with my husband and two daughters who are in college. Both Pam and Laura are Saint Mary School Alumni too.

My advice to my students is to “never give up!!”
