Deacon Dominic Corraro

Principal

Deacon Dominic Corraro lives in North Haven with his wife Tina.  He and his wife have three children and he is anxiously waiting for the birth of his first grandchild.  Deacon is a very family oriented person, and his family and faith are his treasures. 

He has taught French, Spanish, Italian, Chinese and Latin at Notre Dame HS where he chaired the Foreign Language Dept and was a Campus Minister. He has also had many administrative roles there over the years.  He has taught foreign languages at Quinnipiac University, and UCONN where he was an adjunct professor.  He still teaches a few virtual courses at Albertus Magnus College.  He has a BS in Italian, Spanish and French from SCSU and a Masters in Romance Languages from SCSU and a sixth-year degree in Educational Leadership from Quinnipiac University.  He also has completed course work in Latin, Chinese, and Special Education.

He was finalist for Teacher of the Year and was named as one of the top teachers in CT and MA.  He is a Permanent Deacon in our Archdiocese assigned to Our Lady of Mt Carmel Parish in Hamden. He has served in Spanish and Italian as a Deacon. He is a professional musician, loves gardening, cooking, wine making and spending time with his family. He has traveled extensively through Europe, the US and China, has led many tours through Europe, and travels to Italy every year.
