Tuition Raffle

We are excited to kick-off the St. Mary’s School Tuition Raffle. Enter for a chance to win $10,000 to use towards your 2023-2024 SMS tuition. Cost to enter is $100/ticket. Only 300 tickets will be sold!

All current and/or new SMS families enrolled in the 2023-2024 school year (Pre-K – 8th grade) are eligible to enter. Tickets can be purchased by each individual family or in the name of the enrolled SMS family. Four tickets max sold per family name.

Tickets can be purchase up until May 31, 2023, 9:00 PM ET.

The winner will be announced on June 1, 2023.

Ticket Purchasers must be 18 years or older. Tickets can be purchased up until 9 PM EST May 31, 2023. Four (4) tickets max will be sold per eligible SMS Family. Winner to be selected at random.

FAQs

Any current and/or new SMS family (Pre-K – 8th Grade) enrolled in the 2023-2024 school year. An eligible enrolled family are those who have sent in their 2023-2024 commitment letter and deposit AND who are in good standing with their 2022-2023 Fundraising Assessment.

The cost of each ticket is $100.00.

A max of 300 tickets will be sold. A minimum of 150 tickets must be sold for the raffle to proceed. If fewer than 150 tickets are sold, the raffle will be cancelled and St. Mary’s will issue a credit to each ticket purchaser for the total amount paid less processing fees. We encourage each family to sell at least one ticket which will help us reach our minimum sale of 150 tickets.

Tickets can be purchased by each eligible SMS family or by a relative, friend or community member in the name of the eligible SMS family. Ticket purchaser must be 18+ years old. Multiple tickets can be purchased to increase your chance of winning. Four (4) tickets max will be sold per eligible family name.

All eligible SMS families will be notified once they have reached the four (4) tickets limit. If additional tickets have been purchased in the name of a SMS family, SMS will notify the ticket purchaser and give them an option to receive a refund for the amount purchased less credit card processing fees OR donate the ticket purchase amount to the school.

There will be one (1) winning family. The winner will be selected at random and will notified by the school prior to a formal announcement being distributed via St. Mary School Social Media Channels (Facebook, Instagram & SMS Newsletter).

One (1) winner will receive a $10,000 credit for tuition to be used for the St. Mary 2023-2024 School year. The prize payout will occur as follows:
- If the winning family has more than one (1) child enrolled at the school, the tuition credit will be applied to the total 2023-2024 tuition owed and the family will be responsible for the remaining balance.
- If the winning family has only one (1) child enrolled at the school, the tuition credit will be applied to the 2023-2024 tuition owed with the balance being rolled over to the 2024-2025 school year.
- If the winning family leaves St. Mary School or child graduates at the end of the 2023-2024 school year, any remaining balance of the winning prize will be forfeited.
- St. Mary School Admin will apply the tuition credit to the winning family’s account. There will be no exchange of cash or check between the winner and St. Mary School.
- Tuition credit cannot be redeemed for cash.

Yes. Taxes (estimated CT = 6.99%; Fed = 25%) will be collected from the winner within 30 days of drawing so tuition credit can be applied to the winner’s account for the following school year.
