I'm proud to say my son went all the way through from the 3 year old program with Mrs. Calendrillo and through eighth grade. My son has become an independent, responsible, confident young man… I know God will always be a part of his life. Through life experiences he has a well-rounded spiritual background. He also loved the sports, basketball, drama club, and tried chess one year. We as a family were blessed to have had a caring staff of people who worked hard and helped my husband and I know we made the right choice for our son.
As a parent of a St. Mary graduate, I recall visiting high schools and the enthusiasm with which SMS students are received. Specifically one admission director stated 'you always know a St. Mary boy'.
He went on to say that St. Mary students consistently rank as the highest entrants as freshman, transitioning well prepared for the challenging curriculum and graduate at the top of their class as seniors. St. Mary provides a solid foundation for high school that has been invaluable for my son.
Personally, my favorite thing about Saint Mary School is when my son first started Pre-K they sang "God Bless America". It was so cute and I was taken aback by it because I didn't think they sang it in public schools anymore! Since it is a Catholic school, parents choose to send their kids and it seems that all parents that I've met have the same goals/family values for their children. It seems like there is something special every year that makes me want to stay, it might be the preschool Mary & Joseph story, the Kindergarten Celebration or the ultra special Communion. We are looking forward to our 3 children graduating from Saint Mary School.
My favorite thing about Saint Mary School: There is an atmosphere of care and focus that leads to a great atmosphere to want to learn. The community of SMS involves the entire family and this leads to a family-type setting. The teachers and staff at SMS are dedicated and respectful of all children's individual needs and abilities, and this also fosters a sense of community.
I want my children to attend SMS so that they will develop positive values, started at home, and which continue in their educational growth. The pre-school at SMS is excellent, where our children gain the skills needed to make learning enjoyable. Professional, caring, prepared staff at both Pre-K and K-8. Thank you Saint Mary School for starting our children on the right path.
We can't say enough about how much we love St Mary School. The first time we walked through the halls for a tour it had a very nostalgic feeling, it took my husband back to his childhood for a brief moment - it was an unforgettable feeling. What makes it so special to us? It’s a community and a caring learning environment. It’s a place where likeminded parents have similar objectives when it comes to their child’s education. We feel comfortable leaving our children at St Mary’s knowing that they are in a safe place while they learn. The teachers care, other parents care and people are treated with respect. Aside from the exceptional education, your children are taught respect and core values of the world that seem to have been lost in today’s society. Why would you pay tuition when other schools are free? Investing in your children’s future at a young age is priceless. Regardless of your religious affiliation, your children will not learn the same core values instilled upon them at St Mary’s in a public school environment. What are my favorite things about St Mary School? Aside from our children, my husband and I have made some great friends. There are many activities that allow you to enjoy being with your children and watch them interact. The volunteering is endless. We love being a part of the St. Mary School family!
I retired after working for the Milford Board of Education for thirty-seven years. I have been a parishioner of St. Mary Church for over fifty years and have had the privilege of serving as a member of the St. Mary School Board. My experience on the school board proved to me how important our school is to the Milford community. A dedicated and professional staff paired with a comprehensive curriculum is reason enough to understand the sacrifice that parents make to meet this financial commitment. The success that St. Mary students enjoy as they continue their education in high school and college is further testimony to the excellence of this school and those who support it.”

I want my children to attend Saint Mary School because as a working mother of three it is a very reassuring feeling that when I drop my children off in the morning at St Mary's. I don't worry about them during the day because I know they are embraced by a wonderful community of educators and children.
My favorite thing about Saint Mary School is: The warm and loving environment where children are challenged academically but are also learning how to treat others with respect and concern. I want my child/children to attend Saint Mary School because: I know that they are safe and cared for while getting a great education.
While reviewing the freshmen grades from the first quarter, I notice how well students from St Mary's perform academically. One of the biggest challenges to academic achievement in a college preparatory program is the transition between eighth grade and ninth. The students from St Mary's have adjusted marvelously well and it shows in their performance.
I once expressed the desire to have control of the 7-12 curriculum for reasons of flexibility and individual achievement. The preparedness of students at St Mary's makes this concern moot. In line with recent research, the best environment for the middle school student is in the PreK-8 structure. We think St Mary's is the best PreK-8 environment.
Thank you for your good work.

As a mother of four, with three currently enrolled at SMS, I’ve been extremely happy with our children’s transition into the SMS community. Our children have been making friends and have been enjoying the school year thus far. As parents, my husband and I have been impressed with the school’s teachers and staff and their attention to detail. We really appreciate the extra effort all of the teachers put into their work. We would recommend SMS to anyone, and can’t say enough nice things about it.
