I had no idea when we selected Saint Mary Preschool for my eldest that SMS would become such a huge part of the lives of every member in my family. From school to volunteer work, SMS was our school, our friends, our community. Both my children attended from Preschool through 8th Grade. As hoped, they learned the basics that helped them attain success in high school and college, but they also learned things that you can’t grade or put in a transcript. Their faith is deeply rooted in who they are, both chose to go to Catholic Universities because that felt right. Service is just something they expect to do in their lives. They are both intensely loyal to the kids they met at SMS and still consider them their closest friends. What I liked best about St. Mary School was the amazing education I received, the help I got from all of my teachers and the great friends that I made. I would want young families to know that St. Mary helps your children find their lifelong friends, and create amazing memories to look back on fondly. My closest friends, who I consider family now, I met during my time here, and we have created a lifelong bond. Some of my favorite memories from my years at Saint Mary are the basketball tournaments, the carnival, and when we went on the annual eighth-grade field trip to Boston. Being a new teacher at St. Mary's has allowed me to develop my own path and way of teaching in history and religion. I am able to utilize many different resources as well as the other middle school teachers to help teach a variety of lessons in different and interactive ways for students that are learning in person and remotely.
